While every magus is built around Spellstrike, your subclass will determine how you employ spellstrike and what other tactics you might use in combat. It's more versatile (although spell attack w/o spellstrike is going to hurt) and the damage is less swingy, but you lose the persistent damage against metal wearing enemies (I'm assuming the +1 doesn't matter, since your using the spellstrike role).I think the Abyssal BL straight (or Orc) is better because you get almost identical STR bonus, but you get the full Magus capstone abilities, as well.
