Kawasaki voyager review.
IMO, a nice Voyager XII is probably a better bike than the Goldwing. Many people have well over 200,000 miles on them, it's about the same for the Goldwing. But the Voyager is lighter, and less complicated, and it is much easier to work on. I was concerned about the chain driven cam. It must be a whopper of a chain.
Here is some info on history of the Voyager. Kawasaki came up with the 6 cylinder KZ1300 in 1979. Its engine was the fore runner of the Voyager, which appeared in 1983, using the 6 cylinder engine. I've taken a couple of short (300 miles in a day) trips so far, and she's a dream to ride on the hiway. Smooth and comfortable - could've done another 300 easily.
