I had a pretty nice haul of loot in my backpack and set it down in a building to store some things, but I learned that apparently backpacks are affected by the curses on buildings.

You cant use items that right click, 2. You can't place blocks, 3. You can't use your inventory. (I think that's how they work). And you can't really do anything about it except avoid the parasites.
