Metric magazines have a small mag well locking tab, pressed out of the body of the magazine. The magazine base plate will be flush with the mag body all around. Can also be used in inch pattern receivers. Some were made of aluminum. The inch magazine has a larger magazine well locking tab that is a seperate milled piece.
