Lots of ammo, preferably AP rifle ammo, would be a good idea. So far I found three locations where basic tools spawns as item (not in stash). I don't know if they only spawn at begin of the game, or also later on. I'll add screenshots as soon I fix my computer. Agropom - Psy anomaly (Nerve Wrecker I think). From what I've seen: White stashes are normal. Green stashes have a guaranteed crafting kit: (basic, advanced, expert tools, or Gunsmithing, or drug making kit). Orange / Gold are stashes you've made. Purple stashes are from default Anomaly. Green stashes in GAMMA are just Purple stashes. Reply. Advanced tools - green stashes, but you could instead get basic tools. Rarely depending on the stash location also in regular stashes. Expert tools - really rare, but green stashes are your best bet and the further north, the better.. more upwards north they can also be in regular stashes, like in Pripyat for example.You can craft an advanced toolkit, but it requires 5 basic toolkits to make an advanced one. I suggest looking in stashes in yantar, wild territory, darkscape, or army warehouses for the advanced toolkits. Search red forest and anything north of red forest for expert toolkits. I found my first expert toolkit in a stash in radar.
